Takeaways

Not every slide needs a poll. A Takeaway puts your own content on your audience's phones while a slide is up: a title, a short message, and up to three links they can tap. The slide itself stays untouched; the takeaway lives entirely on their screens.

Think of it as the handout that nobody loses. "Grab the slides", a reading list, the wifi password, your contact details, a discount code — anything the room would otherwise photograph off the screen.

Create a takeaway

Takeaways go on slides that don't have a poll. Move to the slide, open the Doppio sidebar, and click Add a Takeaway (it sits right beside Create a New Poll).

  • Title. The headline on their phones. Up to 200 characters, though far fewer reads better.
  • Body. Your message, up to 2,000 characters. Optional.
  • Links. Up to three, each with a label and a URL. Links must be https:// — anything else is flagged as you type and won't be delivered.

You can save with any one of the three filled in: just a title, just a body, or even just a link.

Unlike a poll, a takeaway places nothing on your slide. There is no chart preview to position; your slide design is entirely yours.

What your audience sees

When you present and land on the slide, connected phones show your takeaway as a clean card: title, body, and each link as a tappable button. Links open in a new tab, so nobody loses their place — closing the tab lands them back in your session, still following your slides.

Editing and deleting

Select the slide, open the sidebar, and the takeaway is there to change. Save writes your edits; delete removes the takeaway and returns the slide's phone view to the usual waiting state.

Pair it with your closing slide

A takeaway on your final slide means your links are on every phone in the room exactly when you're saying "thanks for coming". No QR scramble, no shouted URL.
