Polls & settings
A Doppio poll is multiple choice, drawn live as a bar chart on your slide. Your audience picks from your options on their phones, and every vote nudges its bar upward in real time. This page covers each control in the poll editor.
Question
Your question is the headline, on the slide and on every phone in the room. Short questions work hardest: "What should we tackle first?" beats a paragraph every time.
Answers
- Two to ten options. You need at least two to save a poll, and ten is the ceiling. In a hurry? Add Maximum (10) Options creates ten empty cards in one click.
- Reorder by dragging. Grab the handle on any answer card to change the order. The chart and the voting screen both follow it.
- A colour per option. Each answer takes the next colour from your palette. Override any swatch individually if one option deserves to stand out. See Branding & themes.
Audience Settings
These live in the Audience Settings section of the poll editor and are set per poll, so a quick warm-up and a considered decision can behave differently in the same deck.
| Setting | Default | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Duration | 30 seconds | How long voting stays open once your poll slide appears. |
| Max votes | 1 per person | Raise it to let each participant pick more than one option. |
| Show on slide | Off | Puts the countdown on your slide, so the room can see the clock. |
| Show on devices | Off | Puts the countdown on your audience's phones instead, or as well. |
| Quickfire poll | Off | Votes register the moment someone taps an option, with no confirmation step. Leave it off and participants confirm before their vote is submitted. |
| Show results live | Off | Fills the bars on your slide while voting is still open. Leave it off and results are revealed only when the timer reaches zero. |
Rolling bars or a big reveal?
Live results are great for energy: the room watches the bars race. A reveal is great for honesty: nobody is swayed by the leading option. It is a per-poll choice, so use both in one deck.
Editing and deleting
Select the slide that holds the poll and open the Doppio sidebar. The question, answers and settings are all there to change. Save Poll writes your changes and refreshes the preview on the slide. Delete Poll removes the poll from your event; the slide itself stays put.
