Results from another poll
A results slide shows votes from an existing poll elsewhere in your deck. It does not ask the audience to vote again. Use it to return to an earlier question or reveal a decision after a discussion.
Create a results slide
- Create and save the source poll first.
- Select another slide without a Doppio item.
- Open Doppio and choose Results from another poll under Put on the slide.
- In Results slide, select the source poll. Each choice shows its slide number and question.
- Click Save results slide and wait for the chart preview to appear.
The editor then shows Currently showing results for with the source question. Its preview uses sample numbers, just like a poll preview.
Collect now, reveal later
For a reveal later in the deck, set the source poll's Flow to Not revealed on this slide. Add the results slide after the discussion, then select that poll as its source.
The poll editor may refer to this as a Slide Results interaction. Open Results from another poll in the empty-slide chooser to create it.
Put the results slide after the question in your normal running order. If you put it before the source poll, the editor warns that it will show zero votes until you reach the question. You can still use that arrangement for a backup slide or when presenting out of order.
Example: ask on slide 1, show answers on slide 4
- On slide 1, create your question and answer options. In Flow, choose Not revealed on this slide, then save the poll.
- Use slides 2 and 3 for an explanation or discussion.
- On slide 4, choose Results from another poll, select the question on slide 1 and click Save results slide.
- During the session, the audience votes on slide 1. Slide 4 shows the votes already collected for that question.
The results slide can also be the very next slide. It does not need to be slide 4, and you do not need to copy the question or ask everyone to vote a second time.
Change the source or its appearance
Choose a different poll and click Save results slide to change which question this slide displays. Edit this poll → takes you to the source poll so you can change its question, answers or styling. A results slide uses the source poll's chart configuration.
The current results editor lets you change the source, but does not offer a remove-link or Delete button. Deleting just its chart image is not a way to turn the slide back into an empty Doppio slide.
Results slide or copied poll?
A results slide shows the original poll's votes. Copy from another slide creates a new item from the source settings, which is useful when you want to ask a similar question again. Choose according to whether you want to reuse the result or collect a new answer.
