How live results work
When you present a Doppio slide, three things happen in sync: a session opens, your audience joins, and votes stream back onto the slide.
The session lifecycle
- Open — pressing Present creates a session with a short join code and QR.
- Collect — each vote is recorded against the session and the chosen option.
- Render — Doppio updates the slide's chart in real time over a live connection.
- Close — advancing past the slide (or ending the deck) freezes the result.
NOTE
Results are cached on the slide when a session closes, so your deck still shows the final numbers even offline or when exported to PDF.
Latency
Votes typically appear in under a second. If a venue's Wi-Fi is shaky, Doppio batches updates and reconciles totals the moment the connection recovers — no lost votes.
